Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the ZambiaRent website (https://www.zedrents.com) and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ZambiaRent. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal right to list or rent the property you describe.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Listing Rules (Landlords)

All listings must be for real, legally available rental properties located in Zambia.
Photos must accurately represent the property. Stock images or images of other properties are prohibited.
Prices must be stated honestly in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) unless otherwise specified.
You must not list properties you do not own or have authorisation to let.
Duplicate, spam, or misleading listings will be removed without notice.
Listings are subject to admin review before going live. We reserve the right to reject any listing without explanation.

4. Prohibited Content

You must not post content that:

Is false, misleading, or fraudulent.
Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
Contains offensive, discriminatory, or illegal material.
Promotes illegal activities or violates any applicable Zambian law.
Contains unsolicited advertising or spam.

5. Enquiries & Communications

ZambiaRent provides a messaging system to connect tenants and landlords. All communication must remain lawful and respectful. We do not guarantee the outcome of any rental transaction arranged through the platform. We are not a party to any rental agreement between landlord and tenant.

6. Intellectual Property

All site content, design, logos, and software are owned by or licensed to ZambiaRent. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. By uploading photos or text to the platform you grant ZambiaRent a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of listings and make no representations about the quality, safety, or legality of any property listed. We strongly encourage you to inspect any property in person before entering into a rental agreement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZambiaRent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to losses arising from fraudulent listings or failed rental transactions.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, the platform, or third parties.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zambia.
